How to make a Full HD image
- Choose an image and inspect its original dimensions.
- The preset applies 1920 × 1080 with Crop to fill. To preserve the whole picture, open Advanced options and select Fit with borders instead.
- Resize, review what was cropped or padded, and check the actual 1920 × 1080 result before downloading.
Example
A 4000 × 3000 photo → a 1920 × 1080 file. The default crop removes some content from the top and bottom to fill the 16:9 frame.
When to use this tool
Use this when a screen background, slide asset or upload form specifically needs a 1920 × 1080 image. This sets pixel dimensions; it does not optimize video or guarantee a particular file size.
Supported formats & limits
Up to 20 MiB per image, 24 megapixels and 20 files in a sequential batch; limits are lower on low-resource devices. Static images only. JPG, PNG and WebP output. Upscaling creates additional pixels, not additional photographic detail. EXIF/GPS metadata is removed.
Something isn’t working ↗Good to know
Will the output be exactly 1920 × 1080?
Yes with the default Crop to fill and Allow upscaling settings. Fit with borders also preserves the canvas size. Plain fit-inside mode can produce smaller dimensions; the size summary always shows the actual result.
Why does the preset crop my image?
An image with a different aspect ratio cannot fill a 16:9 rectangle without cropping or distortion. The preset crops centrally. Choose Fit with borders to retain the whole source without stretching it.
Will enlarging a small image make it sharper?
No. Upscaling creates more pixels but does not recover missing detail. Start with a large source when possible.
Can I also reduce the file size?
After resizing, choose Compress this image to carry the result into the compressor without selecting it again. JPG and WebP quality controls are also available under Advanced options.
